Ingredients
1/2 kilo of beef
2 medium chopped onions
2 ripe vine tomatoes chopped
1 cda of cracked dry chili
2 cloves of minced garlic
3/4 cup of water
100 grams of butter
2 cds of dried parsley
2 cds of paprika
1/2 cda garlic powder
4 cds of chopped olives
1/2 cda of cumin powder
2 cups of regular flour
7 cda of vegetable oil
1/2 cdta salt
Steps
Beef empanadas are very easy to prepare, they may look complex but they are not, following the step to
step you will get a delicious and tasty empanada.
Step 1
Heat the oil in a pan and add the chopped onion. Remove well and let fry until onion is set
golden. Then add the ground beef and remove. Let it cook for 7 minutes.
Step 2
Then add chopped garlic and stir well. Let sit for 2 minutes, then add the chopped tomato and
remove. Leave for 6 minutes
Step 3
Then add the cracked chilli, cumin, parsley, garlic powder and stir well. Season with salt and
add chopped olives and remove well. Cook for 2 more minutes and remove from fire. Letting it cool to
the stuffing.
For the Mass:
Step 4
Put the flour, salt and melted butter in a bowl and mix well, then add the water slowly until
let the mass be formed. Let it sit for 10 minutes in the fridge.
Step 5
Once the time is up, place the dough on the table, spread it and cut it to be filled.
Step 6
Once filled, place them in an oven tray and brush with the egg over the pies and press the
top of the empanadas so that the steam comes out and they don’t bounce.
Step 7
Bake at 400°F for 30 minutes. Allow to cool slightly and serve.
