Grinder Sandwich
Ingredients:
For the Sandwich:
1 loaf Italian bread, sliced lengthwise
6 slices provolone cheese
4 slices salami
4 slices capicola
4 slices ham
4 slices turkey
Optional: sliced pepperoni
For the Salad Topping:
1 cup shredded lettuce
1/2 cup diced tomatoes
1/4 cup thinly sliced red onions
2 tablespoons banana peppers (optional)
For the Dressing:
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
1 teaspoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Layer the bottom half of the Italian bread with provolone cheese, salami, capicola, ham, and turkey. Add pepperoni if desired.
Place the sandwich halves on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the bread is crispy and the cheese is melted.
While the sandwich toasts, prepare the salad topping. Combine lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, and banana peppers in a bowl.
In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, red wine vinegar, olive oil, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper to make the dressing. Toss the dressing with the salad mixture.
