Baked Ziti with Ground Beef and Ricotta Recipe
Ingredients:
•1 pound ziti pasta
•1 pound ground beef
•2 cups marinara sauce
•1 cup ricotta cheese
•2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
•1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
•2 cloves garlic, minced
•1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
•Salt and pepper to taste
•Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
1.Cook the Pasta
•Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the ziti pasta according to the package instructions until al dente.
•Drain and set aside.
2.Prepare the Meat Sauce
•In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
•Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
•Stir in the marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-7 minutes.
3.Preheat the Oven
•Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
4.Assemble the Ziti
•In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ziti pasta with half of the meat sauce.
•Spread half of the ziti mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
•Dollop ricotta cheese evenly over the layer of ziti.
•Add the remaining meat sauce on top, spreading it evenly.
•Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top.
5.Bake
•Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
•Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
6.Serve
•Let the baked ziti cool for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired, and serve warm.
