Salisbury Steak with Mashed Potatoes ๐ฝ๏ธ
Ingredients:
For the Salisbury Steak:
1 pound ground beef ๐ฅฉ
1/3 cup bread crumbs ๐
1/4 cup finely chopped onion ๐ง
1 egg ๐ฅ
2 tablespoons ketchup ๐
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce ๐ฅ
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder ๐ง
Salt and pepper to taste ๐ง
1 tablespoon olive oil ๐ซ
1 cup beef broth ๐ฒ
1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water ๐พ๐ง
1/2 cup sliced mushrooms (optional) ๐
For the Mashed Potatoes:
2 pounds potatoes, peeled and quartered ๐ฅ
1/2 cup milk ๐ฅ
1/4 cup butter ๐ง
Salt and pepper to taste ๐ง
Directions:
For the Salisbury Steak:
Prepare the Patties: In a bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, finely chopped onion, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated. ๐ฅ
Shape Patties: Form the mixture into 4 oval patties. ๐
Cook Patties: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the patties and cook until browned on both sides. Remove and set aside. ๐ฅ
