Mushroom BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger Stuffed Peppers

Here’s a recipe for Mushroom BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger Stuffed Peppers:

Ingredients:

• 4 large green bell peppers, tops cut off and seeds removed

• 1 lb ground beef

• 1/2 cup BBQ sauce

• 1/2 cup chopped onions

• 1 cup mushrooms, sliced

• 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

• 6 slices bacon, cooked and chopped

• 1 tsp garlic powder

• 1 tsp onion powder

• 1/2 tsp smoked paprika

• Salt and pepper to taste

• 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and mushrooms, cooking until softened (about 5 minutes). Remove and set aside.

3. In the same skillet, brown the ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess grease.

4. Stir in BBQ sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

5. Add the cooked mushrooms and onions back to the skillet and stir to combine.

6. Stuff each bell pepper with the beef mixture, pressing down gently to pack it in.

7. Top each stuffed pepper with shredded cheddar cheese and chopped bacon.

8. Place the peppers in a baking dish, cover loosely with foil, and bake for 25 minutes.

9. Remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.

10. Let cool slightly before serving.
